Archos may not sound familiar to most people but the France-based company is pretty competitive in the European region especially in the low and mid-range market. And now the company has announced a new and rare low to mid-range phablet in the 62 Xenon.
The Archos 62 Xenon phablet features a large 6.27-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution (234 ppi), powered by a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, a Mali-400MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot, an 8MP/5MP camera combo with LED flash in the back, and a 2,400mAh battery. The Archos 62 Xenon will be running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and has dual-SIM support.
Looking at the specs and how Archos prices its devices, we expect the 62 Xenon phablet to carry a price tag around 220-240 euros. We also expect the device to be available around Europe only. We’ll keep you updated.
