Lenovo is expected to launch a number of devices at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) next week in Barcelona, Spain, but that didn’t stop them to release one device ahead of the event.
The device in question is the Tab 2 A7-30, a budget friendly low to mid-range tablet that features a 7-inch IPS infinity display with 1024 x 600 resolution, powered by MediaTek’s MT8382M quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB/16GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot, a 2MP/0.3MP camera combo, and a 3,450mAh battery. The Tab 2 A7-30 will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box but Asus stated that an Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be available soon.
The Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 will come in 2G and 3G variants and in one color only – Ebony Black. The 2G variant will will carry a Rs. 8,500 (about $137) price tag while the 3G variant will cost you Rs. 11,800 (about $191). The Tab 2 A7-30 isn’t exactly cheap but it isn’t exactly entry-level as well. It packs specs that’s near mid-range level which makes a decent tablet for casual users.
