Just two weeks after the unveiling of the Xperia E4, Sony quietly dropped another ‘affordable’ smartphone in the Xperia E4g – an Xperia E4 with 4G LTE support, with a bit of an upgrade as well.
Moving on to the specs, the Xperia E4g will be featuring the same 5-inch display with 960 x 540 resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot, a 5MP/2MP camera combo, and a 2,300mAh battery. The little upgrade can be found on the processor – from a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz to a Mediatek MT6732 quad-core clocked at 1.5GHz that provides the 4G LTE network support for the Xperia E4g. And like the Xperia E4, the Xperia E4g will come in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants upon its release in April.
The Sony Xperia E4g will be available in black and white color options and will carry a €130 (about $145) price tag for the dual-SIM variant, which is $10 up from the Xperia E4’s $120 price tag. No words yet regarding the single-SIM variant’s price but we’ll keep you updated like we always do.
