The NVIDIA Shield Tablet’s successor is expected to be unveiled sometime next month sporting it’s trademark gaming specs, and according to a report by the folks over at Fudzilla, the next NVIDIA gaming tablet will not disappoint as it will be carrying the company’s latest flagship chipset in the Tegra X1.

NVIDIA first announced its ‘mobile super chip’ back in January at the Consumer Electronics Show, which was built on the same Maxwell architecture use d on the company’s top performing GPUs such as the GeForce GTX 980. The Tegra X1 also boasts of having over one teraflops of processing power to quench every heavy users and mobile gamers’ needs.

If this report is indeed true, the Shield’s successor is definitely a tablet to watch out for in the future that could also open up NVIDIA’s way towards more manufacturers opting for its mobile processors. For now, take this information as a grain of salt. We’ll keep you updated.
